I think I’m cooking for 7, it’s hard for us this year as we lost our mum in September (sudden death) so will be the first christmas with out her. I said I would cook to make it easier but my mum did epic Christmas meals so it won’t be the same

It gets easier but they are never the same.

Hope you have children to help with the pain

I'm cooking. Only for 13 but it will be a fun day. Last year we booked a Michelin star restaurant, had the flu, barely managed a few mouthfuls and wasted a huge amount of money. Year before that, my dog was bitten badly on Xmas eve so spent all night and some of Xmas day at emergency vets. Dinner cancelled.

Fingers crossed for this year.... what could possibly go wrong???

Crikey last two Christmas's must of cost you a medium fortune.

That's bigger than a small fortune.

I cook every year for 4-5 but I admit I do as much cheating as possible by using ready prepared veg. I used to spend the morning or night before peeling chopping stuffing etc, now I relax, there's no waste because I've not done too much.

Traffic land

I’m doing a lamb roast for my 2 kids and I on Christmas Eve with crackers and all the usual trimmings. The kids are are off to their Dads Christmas morning, I’ve not decided what to have. Christmas Day will just be me, I might treat myself to a nice piece of steak or just have a massive cheesefest and not cook at all
