"I wouldn't bother. I'd have to go tee-total for the night. Soft drinks, lemonade probably. Maybe the bar could have a non-alc cocktail for a treat. Non alc beers are like decaf coffee, what's the flipping point? " Because you like the taste of beer/cider but just don't want the alcohol? Saying that there's no point to decaf coffee would only be true if you didn't like the taste of coffee. I can see why you'd find decaf or alcohol free beer pointless if you thought they tasted disgusting - but in that case, why drink them in the first point?

I suppose i like wanting the full package, I like the taste of beer, I like beer a lot in fact, and mentioned above is a radler, my favourite summer drink and I try to make it around 1%. But I like a beer buzz with my friends if I'm out. Also, some would say I like coffee more than oxygen, and also, it's the caffeine hit that comes with it. I'm an all or nothing type of guy.

" I’m the same I love the beer taste but since splitting with the ex a year or so ago I kinda hit the drink a bit too much on a daily basis... I mean literally no less than 2 fairly strong big bottled beers... so I guess I was kind of an alchoholic as not going a day without it.. so I thought instead of just completely stopping I’d go for zero alchohol stuff which I’ve been doing with great success lol.... until the weekend of corse and I get totally smashed

" Do you like the taste better than a regular beer? They taste better than some beers/ciders and not as nice as others?" Dishwater tastes better than some beers. (Just my opinion). I've not had a non-alcoholic beer that I'd be happy to drink more than one at a time. Like anything. It's personal taste isnt it?

" I mean I'm rarely in a situation where I'd have more than one beer anyway. The other good thing about non-alcoholic beers is that it's a nice slow drink and if you don't tell people that it's non alcoholic then they don't know. So it stops d*unk people pestering you to get d*unk with them, because they think you have an alcoholic beer in your hand. It's kind of like when you go out for lunch with your friends. If you order a salad nobody thinks anything of it. If you tell them you're trying to lose weight and *then* have a salad, they're convinced you're not enjoying yourself.

Peer pressure probably got us drinking/smoking (and trying other stuff) in the first place. After 18 bottles everyone can't believe your drinking everyone under the table. .
