Fave Christmas present

I was doing some to on classic Christmas presents and trends

I'm made me think of my fave Christmas present - action man featured highly space Lego was unbelievable but somehow I remember a magnetic shooting alley- the gun drew up ball bearings on the other side of a plastic screen and then you shot at targets. It was all enclosed and the size of 4 shoe boxes

Any other fave Christmas toys from your memories

I remember one year we opened all our presents and were quite content. We had dinner and stuff then my dad shouted my brother and i out to the garden-he had found 2 bikes that Santa must have left!

Bloody loved that bike!!

A mitre delta and a pair of Patrick platini boots. I was football daft as a boy and most of my presents were football related

There and to the left a bit

The one that always stands out from when I was a kid was the biggest Scalextric set they made at that time that some friends of the family bought me - was a complete surprise and can remember being totally bowled over by it.

Getting a full football kit - great stuff

And the thrill of building the scaletrix track was brilliant with the blue top hat masquerading as the transformer

I had the Space 1999 Eagle 1 and sun gun. Loved playing with them. Should have kept them boxed up I guess as they would have been worth a few quid by now.

One year my brother and I had a Scalextrix track as a joint present. The other was when we had plastic rifles that shot little plastic bullets. Great until we shot all the balls off the christmas tree!

First trainset, first bike, first wristwatch, first tv-game, first computer. My Mum and Dad never had much money when I was a lad but Christmas was always a big treat for everyone.

First wrist watch - that's a brilliant post - I had digital watches but I remember my mum managed to get hold of the swatch I wanted when they were selling out of them - 1985 or 86 I think
