I know i bang on about animals and alike but my question today is this . If you were financially comfortable who would consider going to Africa or Asia to help save Elephants and Rhinos or other endangered species from relentless poaching ??

The problem is that while there's a market for ivory and rhino horn in China the poachers will carry on . It's the Chinese who need to be told that it has absolutely no medicinal benefits whatsoever .

Sorry but your question is completely naive. Are you going to turn up and take on a bunch of locals with AK47s in the middle of the night?

Poaching is largely caused by poverty, which in turn is largely caused by the actions of us in the west.

Lasting solutions to the issue will only be attainable in the long term as the issue must be addressed both internationally and nationally, in Africa as well as in the consumer countries (like China).

No but I’d get a big farm here and take all the animals in that needed it. Charity begins at home and there’s animal atrocities here

Luckily for me I have a friend who's been doing it for years and works for a charity...he's going to help with that side of things...he does 6 weeks at a time and has been everywhere and worked with so many different animals and people.
