It looks super relaxing and super uncomfortable all at the same time ha. Practice makes perfect though, if you wanna do yoga, do yoga!

Yes there is hope! It’s not all about being flexible from the word go.

yoga clears the mind body and soul

lot of stretching and breathing

once the stretching kicks in you will touch your toes with ease

not going to happen instantly but after 3 months youll be a new man

sit on a chair and cross your legs , easy to touch your toes this way

I use home practices on YouTube. Yoga with Adriene is an amazing channel, especially for beginners!

It's bloody hard work I can tell you. Don't know where this relaxation comes from. My trainer used to schedule me 2 sessions of Bikram Yoga per week. It was the worst days of my life but my skin was bloody amazing after.

Yes there is. Yoga or pilates will help. I can bend to touch my toes and put my palms flat on the floor. My dad's 90 and he can almost touch his toes.

If you start with the basics you'll gradually become more flexible.

You don't have to be flexible to do yoga.

I used to be stiff as a board.

Just stick with it and you'll see your body changing and tour flexible improving within a few weeks

I do yin yoga twice a week and can’t touch toes yet but my hips open so can move other ways that even my yoga teacher can’t.

Yin is great for stretching and relaxing

Good luck xx

I don't do and never have done yoga so my opinion might be shit but surely not starting yoga because your not flexible enough is like deciding not to go for driving lessons because you can't drive..

Isn't the point of going to a class to help you get better at the thing your learning?

Yoga is about self progression, your mind and body. It doesn't matter if someone hasn't moved from bed for a decade, they will get a lot from it.

Try it out, stay at the back if it helps you feel comfortable. Explore and just get something from the relaxation, if nothing else. It's not competitive.

Hiding in the shadows

I went to a class a few weeks ago.

I'm fit, healthy, workout everyday & compete in powerlifting comps.

The morning after the class.. Oh my days.

I had to go downstairs one at a time, sideways.

It hurt when I laughed, felt like I'd been kicked in the ribs!

Yoga isn't for wimps!

Try it and see if you like it, the no expectations and comparisons with others is good to bear in mind.

Do some off YouTube if you don't fancy going to a class, there's lots of varieties so if you don't like one type then I wouldn't rule out others, in a Hatha fan
