A meet means sexual contact is likely, a date implies no such thing

"What's a social meet then?"

A waste of time.

Joke! Its a different ball game, just a way to suss out if you want to get jiggy with someone.

A meet is a form of date. It could be purely social, purely sexual or a social potentially leading up to sexual.

To me a meet whether a repeat or not is when you get together with someone for some great sex. Then go back to real life.

A date is when you do the above except you're hoping to have a relationship with them at some point.

I would class a date as going somewhere like a meal or trip out, and as much sexiness as was wanted. A meet would be getting down to things straight away without having been to the cinema etc first

Wrong on both accounts - *blows a raspberry *

How many ladies meet someone again if you like them, but are not sure on first meeting if you want to get jiggy with them??

I often know I don't, but sometimes I'm not sure if I do, and then I feel awkward for asking them to take some time and be a bit 'datey' with me lol??

I guess some guys are happy to go for that and some are not.

I've given up meeting on here, I don't know if it is my area but I have been told NO man respects women on here! This was from a guy I had already met, I am now practicing celibacy

Yes, that's how I define it - date is always 'with a view to' a possible relationship. But a meet can be very social too, spending nights out or weekends away together or whatever.

I always have a social first and I know literally straight away if I want to shag them or not!

I don't date but I'm more than happy for repeat meets with the right kind of guys

I'm up for either! Some I know before we even meet, but increasingly, especially with guys over 50, I'm really not sure, just willing to take a bit more time and meet again if they are.

I guess because I only really looking for fwb I'm needing to warm to them as a friend before I start to feel I want more. I very rarely feel like nsa nowadays.
