"I always salute a single magpie

Why?"

You know the rhyme

One for sorrow

Two for joy

Etc

It's about magpies

Salute a single magpie then you won't have sorrow

Nope

It's a legacy of my dear nan who is no longer with me

Den of Iniquity

I used to do that too until one morning I greeted a magpie in the back garden , then my cat tore it to shreds
