Hey guys,

I'm feeling down for no reason whatsoever. How do you cheer yourself up when you feel like this? Non sexual suggestions are more than welcome.

Sorry to hear OP

Weight training is my crutch.. although at this time of night you may be restricted with exercise..? You could go for a stroll around the block... take in some deep breathes of fresh, cold air.

I embarrassed myself last week trying to do a pull up. I think I need more private gym time before I can actually go without fear of looking like a dweeb.

Have a bath and an early night. Tomorrow get some fresh air and do something to keep you occupied.

Somewhere In The Ether…

Slap on a DVD - it’s far from a cure but will at least distract you for a couple of hours before you retire for bed and (hopefully) feel reinvigorated somewhat in the morning.

The chatting does help but I'm really feeling sorry for myself and don't know why or what might have triggered it. As someone else said tomorrow is another day, I could be thinking what a knob I was today.

Absolutely. Always. I am going to walk by the sea after work tomorrow. Cold, wind, dark, spray, salt.

I have a nice long bubble bath and read a book for a while. Failing that I eat lots of cheese

Going for a walk makes me feel worse, regardless of the weather. I take my medication then castigate myself for leaving it so long.

exercise has been shown to be as effective as antidepressants and 5-htp is a good natural alternative to antidepressants

definitely. It's hard to make yourself leave the house and do any form of exercise but once done it really does help most people
