"I usually get between 4 to 6 hours. " That's someone getting you ready for their arrival. You'll be used to sleeping that little already!!

"Slept almost the whole day today as poorly. " Hope you feel better. I’ve heard lots of people lately hit by the flu so I’m probably safe the amount of time I spend in bed!

"4hrs, on a good night. I often go 2-3 days on nothing more than a catnap. The joys of ADHD! " I honestly didn't know that insomnia was a symptom of ADHD. Also I feel for you.

"5 - 6 hours a night, nowhere near enough considering how much training I do when sleep is vital for recovery! I don't have any trouble staying awake through the day but start feeling run down after a while. Every now and again I'll get some Zopiclone from my mum and knock myself out for the night. " Taking Zoliclone really doesn't sound like a sensible thing to do. What i missed from my previous post was that my doctor told me about the amount is sleep required. Many people survive and function perfectly well with only a few hours sleep, some even only have power naps, there's no definitive length.

Due to the nature of my second job I'm sometimes expected to go without sleep for days on end and still function mentally and physically, when I get home from that I can tell you I have no problem sleeping 12 hours then!! I don't take zopiclone often but if you've been going through a few weeks of insomnia and you're really starting to feel ill from it then it's a godsend to recharge the batteries

I stopped working shifts to go on days, huge loss of pay but feel so much better for it.
