"I didn’t think radiotherapy was too bad but I only needed external radiotherapy after my lumpectomy. I did a few hours a day mon-fri with the weekend as a rest nite from it for 6 week. Just made me tired and I lost my airpir hair on my left side for a good while after treatment had ended " Agreed the radiotherapy is not so bad or time consuming | |||

"I think curvy means we all see that some cancers are worse than others, yet really they're all as bad. Just the treatment for some are more effective, I think we can all sympathise with your battle Kat, and you curvy as well. Luckily you won your fight, and hopefully the prognosis for you Kat is equally as good, though your treatment is more intense. It's not the nicest thing for anyone to go through, and we just hope that one day cancer will be a thing of the past x " That is what I meant by it Angie also now in the majority of cases when caught early it’s no longer a death sentence, more people generally survive now so yes hopefully medical advances aren’t far off a complete cure as they’ve come a long way so far x | |||

"I need internal radiotherapy after I'm done with this lot Well mine was only breast cancer and very early on so externals was curative for me From a aunties experience she said she felt some mild discomfort while they inserted hers in but it was a fairly easy process Its NEVER only cancer and mine was caught early so should be ok they said I will be put to sleep to insert the probes Didn’t mean to cause any offence by the use of the word only "No you never I was just simply saying its never only cancer | |||

Yes I saw tbh it was crappy 10 attempts to get my cannula in may need a central line as have really bad veins in my hands was out the house 11 hours so bearly saw my son on his birthday but hey ho the radiotherapy session are much quicker and easier saw you had to see the doc hope you will be ok That doesn't sound good ... hope it is not too horrid for you
Mine's not fixable Kat but hey ho...
Mondays will be the worse and if not fixable treatable I hope

I have to go every Monday to Friday with Mondays being my chemo and radio therapy rest of the week is just gor radio therapy

Luckily you won your fight, and hopefully the prognosis for you Kat is equally as good, though your treatment is more intense. It's not the nicest thing for anyone to go through, and we just hope that one day cancer will be a thing of the past x " That's the point I was trying to make curvys cancer was still bad all cancer is as I said its never only one or the other sorry if it was took out of context xx | |||
