I noticed full beards, particularly on younger men, becoming a fashion thing again following military deployments to the middle east. Particularly among the yanks. Their SF people were encouraged to grow beards as they are a local cultural sign of manliness. Of course, that spread and lots of young guys started sporting beards. Thd fashionista eventually put their spin on it and here we are. I don't have a beard, not cool enough...

I've had a beard since my teens. It's not a recent fashion thing for me. Being a metal head (fan of metal music) it's almost a given to have beard and tattoos. Lol

There's also a thing of people like one type of beard, but others. Sometimes there is a big disagreement on beard length, which is a shame, because I am clearly making up for lack of head hair

Can u beleive this, a womam once said to me , ' i could never meet you as you have a beard' . I mean how bloody stupid can a person be ? Firstly it was neatly trimmed stubble. But also in this day and age we actuay have razors!

I stopped shaving age 17, primarily because i was so bad at it it always looked like i'd lost a scrap with a vampire, secondly because the bloody stuff just kept growing back and i just didn't want to waste so much of my life trying to keep it under control.

This means i have absolutely no idea what i look like without one but i like it, women seem to like it and i wouldn't be without it - not for all the bj's in China.

Had one since 17 and only clean shaven once in 23 years. Last 5 or more has been different styles for a laugh but now just let it grow

Just read this post and it made me smile. It’s nice to know women like a good beard. I find I don’t get any attention because of mine. Mostly all women on their profiles say clean shaven so totally lost. Lack of compliments and interest can really knock you and makes you question do I keep my beard x

I'd say they certainly enhance a mans look depending if you can pull it off and look after it. For someone without a prominent jaw line it helps!

I'd say they certainly enhance a mans look depending if you can pull it off and look after it. For someone without a prominent jaw line it helps!

There is a group in Chester called Deva Vitrix for bearded gents. Also a swingers' club night in Jan called "Beauty and the Beard.

Well I've been on here 11months now, I'm always polite, courteous, respectful and I rarely receive a reply so maybe there just aren't many pognophiles in the West Mids; I don't know if people expect you to be some wild Neanderthal but; in my case at least that couldn't be further from the truth
