Do you find fab has highs and lows?

Sometimes I really enjoy being on and the interactions on the forums and messages are fun.

Then other times it seems really flat.

I know it probably is reflective of how I feel in general but does the site feel that way for you too?

Sometimes the spark is missing. Or is it the people who carry it are just quiet?

I find it just amplifies how I'm already feeling, hence if I'm down I try and stay off it for a bit.

Just like normal life really, sometimes I go to work and barely anyone speaks all day, other days it's banter all day!

Of course it does. Some times the problem is our expectation of how things shoukd be that's the issue?

I find myself on here looking for distractions from other issues...im never really going to get a warm fuzzy feeling then?

It's too easy to live inside your head here as opposed to getting busy living.

I feel really meh about Fab at the moment.

Maybe it's me or maybe it's due to my bad judge of character recently

I’ve kind found it a bit boring recently. I was thinking of not renewing next time my membership is up.

From a guy’s point of view there’s plenty to perk up about, there are some astonishingly beautiful women here who I can have a chat and a laugh with

Yes it does for me to Rubi. Probably because I've made some poor choices recently which have wasted my time and left me feeling a bit So I've decided not to meet anyone for a bit

Definitely.

Recently back after 18 months away, I thought it was great again!

Then 6 weeks - 2 months in again, I'm really beginning to question if I should be here again?

Ah, the rejuvenating powers of the occasional fabbatical. I do it from time to time. And I know how you feel, OP, but I also know I've felt like it before and it seems to come in waves with my fab friends (much like the concept of women all getting grumpy at the same time every month when their cycles sync) so I tend to just ride it out.

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

Nothing to do with my mood on whether the forums are good or bad....I'm permanently miserable, that's a certifiable constant but some days, the forums just seem lack lustre with the same ol look at me and why can't I get a shag Whining threads... with or without the cheese..

Other days it's a fun place to be.. Guess it's just a case of who is around at the time...

Wonder if it's fab as much as a winter thing dark mornings dark days and all the greyness in the real world that rubs off on us and impacts on the forums as well as real life.

But I have felt recently that the forums have got into a bit of a rut of look at me,whiny, or negative threads, with some notable exceptions.

Maybe it impacts on all of us in the same way that it does away from here...

But the choices are eithet detach for a while until the desire to participate comes back or change it ourselves... but I think the latter needs people to take the lead and bring some of the fun back..

Creeps away to hibernate...

I've had more fabbaticals this year than ever before, a combination of feeling meh about meeting anyone new & the forums feeling lack lustre, a lot of characters I used to enjoy interacting with have left.

Yes but I came back so all that can change

But seriously, the forums have been a lot quieter than usual. No one really seems interested anymore

There and to the left a bit

I think most Internet sites, and particularly those with forums, go through peaks and troughs to be honest, particularly as old users move on and new ones come along to inject something new into them.

Then on a personal level, mood swings, how you're feeling generally, and even things like starting chatting to someone new can all reflect on individual perception of the site at any given time.

Believe it or not (as it seems like I'm here 24/7 sometimes ) there are times I log on and wonder why I bothered, but then a message will come in, or a forum thread will start that grabs my attention, and my feeling can change in an instant.

Definitely does.

A few time wasters lately so I find myself a bit wary.

Think that translates to forum too.

I think life is like this, which helps make things less monotonous, with fab, it reflects ourselves, seasonal and other aspects of influence. In my near 10 years of being here, it's had the ebbs and flows with much of this closely mirroring myself

I feel my tolerance level for a certain style of posting / postie is decreasing especially when I'm not in the best of moods.

Easier to not join in or logof then let rip...

I've been a bit bored of the forums for a while now. As for the rest of fab - I'm never much interested in the winter. I do think it has highs and lows, but I don't think all lows are recoverable.

For me, Fab isn't the forums. The reason I am here is to meet men to have sex with. Sometimes I can't be bothered to talk to people, because I'm tired or too busy. Then, I use Fab less.

always changes. depending on mood a lot I think. if I am in a good mood I find things interesting and I am more up for starting conversations, other times I am simply not up for it and just want to meet the people I already know.

Yes, a lot of the real characters have gone - don't know whether they left of their own accord or not, but the place is duller without them, it gets reduced to the lowest common denomenator I think

Generally my mood will affect my enjoyment of fab. As it should be as opposed to the other way round.
