Make sure you are getting enough fluids. 2l per day.

Painkillers. Hope they pass without the need for surgery /lithotripsy.

Worst pain the world and I've had four children. I do feel for you and hope you get sorted soon. I had mine blasted which didn't hurt. Was like someone slapping a plastic ruler on my lower black. I was out of it mind.

I have never ever suffered as much as when I had kidney stones.

Never had kidney stones but had essentially the same things in my salivary glands. That's bloody interesting let me tell you!

Hugs.

My mum and dad had them.

Lime water is supposed to help.

But whoever said plenty of water is bang on.

I remember being stood next to a guy at a urinal years ago who was clearly trying to pass one, he was stood there having a "Hitler piss" with one arm braced against the wall like a Nazi salute and making a lot of noise that definitely wasn't pleasure

My consultant put mine down directly to my diet. At the time, I was on a no carb/low carb diet and I'd lost about four stone over the space of a year.

However, I shared a ward for six weeks with a woman who had umpteen stones (in much worse shape than I) which apprently had been caused by her diet of coca cola end sausgae rolls.

"Worst pain the world and I've had four children."

Strange you should say that as a nurse at the local hospital said the same thing to my brother when he had them.

Honestly, if push came to shove, I'd happily have another baby rather than kidney stones and we all know I'm far to old for that haha.

I have had kidney stones twice.

First time I had a stent fitted and it was zapped by ultra sonics and broken down.

2nd time I was going through same procedure so went on Internet - believing 85% of world doesn't have free health care.... Wondered what they did. On a Usa web site - it said try drinking any 2ltrs of Coca Cola in 2hrs.

I did this twice on consecutive days - when I went in for the stent - hey presto no kidney stone !

I was monitoring my urine discharge and no debris noted.

Since then I drink plenty of water and no energy type drinks.

Sorry to read that OP. I’ve had them and god the pain is horrible. I tried a remedy suggested by a sufferer and found it works if tried as soon as the aching starts. Kick each day off with a pot of freshly cut parsley tea, drink the lot. Every morning for about a week and hey presto feeling better.

It sounds like you are having a rough time. May be contact your GP, ask for an injected pain killer or at least have a discussion to see what options you have to help you get through this?

Drink tons of water and any sign of a temperature or if the pain gets worse, seek immediate help. I used to work for a Urologist and have witnessed how horrendous the pain is. Good luck.

You have my sympathies for sure, I've had them twice before, the first time they were blasted via a lithotripter, the second time the hospital managed to lose my notes twice and their inaction and incompetences led me to decide they had to operate and just remove them as it was killing my business. They removed it and there was just one, shaped and sized like two marrowfat peas stuck together... As painful as that was, the thought of passing them makes my eyes water.

I’ve been told I have them but haven’t suffered any pain from them. *touch wood* since being told I try and drink about 3 litres of water a day.
