Manson thrived on being a media circus. That whole shit about him planning on getting married to a fan a few years ago was all about that. He even got an interview and said that he can still get peoples attention (paraphrasing there). Best attitude to have would be just not to be bothered about it. You're playing into what he wanted by reacting

she didnt marry him in the end...he was the third well known criminal she applied for a licence to marry, and each time let the licences expire without marrying..she's very young, and very nuts!
