"No I dislike Americanism of British culture "

British culture doesn't go with western culture..

We like to queue for anything and everything, but never seen that in our Black Friday or Boxing Day shopping .

Nope...

You generally get better deals by waiting until December.

Don't be taken in by all the hype.

North Bucks

Needed to buy a laptop for an Xmas present looked at the early black Friday deals and found a better deal on a normal list price.

Most of its rubbish anyway. the Money saving dude has a list on his site regarding the best deals

Saying that I went to a Black Friday Joules Sale this weekend and left with sack loads of goodies between us.

I have no idea what British culture is ? I'd suggest the concept is nonsense . Of course the various immigrant tribes have brought an essence of themselves which some traditions I like and some I don't . And those tribes as they established themselves across the UK kept some evolved some , and invented some . Some are understood nationally some only tribaly I mean localy

I'm open to embracing good concepts from anywhere across the planet

Black Friday regardless of innately British , French , Chinese or American is a concept I dislike

I don't like sales , before Xmas after Xmas , spring or autumn

One of my companies sells stuff . We have not had a sale in 60 years

I dislike the concept that

Sarah who wanted x today bought it

And 3 weeks later the same thing is x cheaper

There is a time and place for reductions but sales are meh

And that's got fuck all to do with British tradition whatever that nonsense is xxx

It encourages people to spend money they don't have on things they don't need.

If everyone boycotted Black Friday instead of getting sucked in to it, perhaps prices would stay consistent?

I'll be waiting on cyber Monday. Want to get a couple of things online. I think eBay do discount on items sold on there, so going to try and get what I am wanting to buy from there, or one of them at least

Just picked up two Amazon fires for £30 each for the kids. Mainly so I can have my iPad back.

We've ordered a fire stick as it seemed a good deal but most of it is stuff I just wouldn't buy.
