How often do you find your instincts or first assessments right?

I like it - kind of the reverse of teh other thread. I tend to assess, I guess as most people would, a situation and I form a "provisional" opinion which I am happy to re_iew at a later stage. When I was younger I was more black and white in my thinking, experience has taught me to give people the benefit of doubt

my gut feeling tends to serve me well.. i do give some people the benefit of the doubt but only after seeing how they are...

been burnt in the past and now this is sort of my protection clause so to speak

As the chap above said (sorry forgot to quote), I am only human, I make good choices and bad ones, but I learn from my bad ones and take a positive from a negative... If I didnt make mistakes, I probably wouldnt have had half as much fun, or experienced "life" in such vivid detail.

I sound like a fortune cookie......meh

I think I am a pretty good judge of character and like what Fabio said my gut instint is pretty spot on most of the time , although will be honest there are a few who did not like at all when first met but love then to bits now

Too many times to mention but as Ive gotten longer in the tooth I realise they need these little injections of forgiveness to thrive and therefore if they need so much assurance and acceptance then they are in a worse place than I am so I will always offer a hand and if it keeps getting rejected well thats up to them - not me.

I am talking about petty human behaviour - not big stuff. Piss me off big style and you can go fuck yourself. Rhetorically speaking

I always think gut instinct is the best way but i was reading about these old ladies who get hit over and over by these lottery scams and couldn't understand why they keep getting taken in.

Its not very often, infact its very rare for me to dislike anyone straight away. I take people at face value until they prove me wrong.

Yup!

It does not happen often, however, when it does, I usually live to regret going against my gut instincts!

I'm of a school of thought which believes, you can only learn the value of good judgement from your own bad experience…….

Observing other peoples mistakes only teach us, that is the case!!

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

I though my relationship with my ex-girlfriend would change for the better when she moved out of her childhood home and into her own home. It didn`t. I have met some bosses and took an instant dislike to them and been proven right that they we "no good".

My gut instinct is pretty good and I usually go with it

If I think someone is lying to me I'm usually right in the end

But I would never let on that that's what I think

The truth nearly always outs in the end xx
