Why so many men on Fab?

If the population of the UK is split roughly 50/50 between men and women, why are there so many men on Fab compared to women?

Is it down to nature making men more willing to seek sex or is it more acceptable culturally for men to seek casual sex?

From others experience, I am told it is the same ratio on all. The one's for marrieds seeking affairs, there is a charge for men to use the site, but not for women. More men seek casual illicit sex than women. Sex sells, always has done, always will.

I think there's an element of truth in men being more open to casual sex than women, although that is changing over time - I think there's also the "nudge nudge wink wink" factor to consider around men who hear about this site from friends or who stumble across it via sex related searches and think it's a golden ticket to instant sexual gratification.

Whilst there ARE a lot more men than women here, I'd be interested to know what the ratio is of profiles that have been here longer than 6 months and are still active - wouldn't mind betting the divide would not be so big.

I suspect that there are many factors. Certainly, most women will have much less problems getting casual sex than most men. Then there is the safety issue to consider... men will generally assume that they are not at risk turning up to meet a stranger, many women will be much more concerned.

Also there is a consensus that men are more able to separate the idea of sex from love, so are more comfortable with looking for sex as a recreational activity.

Then why are there so many men on here that would never date a fab lady? It should be outdated but too many people place importance on the opinions of others to govern their life choices, especially when it comes to things like this. Image is key for most, even regardless of feelings.

Women don't want to be associated with swinging or casual sex. I'm not sure if there are more women on dating sites, but I have heard there are and they have sex on a first date too.

I've used the affairs site, and while it is inexplicable why men have to pay such exorbitant fees yet the women are able to use it for free, I can confirm that the ratio of women to men is probably 4:1, and I have been very successful in there

Surely that's the wrong question to ask? It isn't the abundance of men that's remarkable, it's the shortage of women!

And why is that? I dunno, but I suppose you'd have to ask a lot of women, and you won't get a representative answer by asking the ladies on here, you'd need some way of polling female non-swingers. But it's the same with all "adult dating" sites, it isn't a Fab issue, or a swingers issue.

In my case, I'm in a sexless marriage (my wife lost all interest in sex years ago, and gave me permission to look elsewhere), so that explains why I am here and she is not. How typical is that? I have no idea, but I know that in cases of sex-drive mismatch it's almost always the woman who loses it rather than the man, so I expect something fundamentally biological is at the root of that.

If there is another reason, then I can't imagine what it is. If the number of sexually-frustrated women is anywhere near comparable to the number of sexually-frustrated men, then why do so few of them do something about it? Can it really be social pressure? I don't see it myself, any woman surely knows by now that hordes of men are waiting for her online, and discretion is pretty much guaranteed.

Maybe try to extrapolate from some of the reasons why some of the women on here would refuse to meet some of the men, and just assume that most women have similar concerns? Fear of being assaulted is something which usually bothers women more than it bothers men. But I don't think that can be a major issue, as it shouldn't apply to social meets in public venues.

It is a mystery!

Some people. A lot aren't, and a woman who has lots of sexual partners is a slag/cum dump/other derogatory term. There are people on here who think that too and won't go anywhere near them, even though they pay to go to events/parties to fuck women.

Well I don't have any facts to prove it, but are men against dating women on fab? Maybe they see the sure as casual sex only, and if considering a more serious date, think that broader area of interests and compatibility is needed for it to be a goid date?

Sex is great but that alone won't make a meaningful and rewarding relationship?

I guess it depends on the context and I know ladies as personal friends who swing who I would say would make great relationship material...and no not based on their sexual drive.

It's like everything else, all depends on who you ask and in what context?

Personally I think

1. It is more socially acceptable for men to have casual sex, women still often get looked down on.

2. It could be to do with the way men are deemed as sex pests these days if they so much as wolf whistle at some women. Maybe this cuts out all the drama and is more straight to the point for them?

Of all my female friends most are no longer interested in sex, with or without their husbands. Those partnerless are also not interested in sex either. They are busy with grandchildren, crap TV. Maybe this is also a factor XXX

It's possible that women don't need to work so actively to get access to new partners, hence a lower need to promote themselves etc.

Other than that I think many people in our society still have their mindset and behaviors constrained by inappropriate prejudicial attitudes from bygone eras - we often have threads here where many bigoted opinions show how backwards many of us are Imo, including recent posts about transgender equality - where they don't like equality etc.
