i used to stay in a squat at the top of zeedijk quite a lot in the 80's when i was starting out as a very young jobbing musician on the european gig circuit ... i got to jam with chet some afternoons around china town ... such a shame the way he left us. i still try to go and jam with some of the guys on neiuwbrugsteeg under his window in May when i can

Anyone seen the film Whiplash, great film if you like jazz.

Im a big fan of Jo Jones and Buddy Rich being a drummer myself.

The Whiplash version of Caravan is epic.
