I tend to book in advance when travelling. Local ones are cheap enough when sharing the price. x

never any available and if you need to be able to cancel you can't. And actually never been able to get a premier inn room even in advance for less than 59 quid. Ibis can normally get for about 43.

I used to be a sales rep away 4 nights a week and always used Booking.com

Good price but don’t book below a 7 rated hotel

Do laterooms still do that secret room thing? I mean you won't know where you are staying, but I got a room with a friend about five or six years ago for fifty quid, which ended up being in the Metropole hotel in Leeds. The view out the window wasn't anything special at all, but the room was amazing for the price

Sign up to Avios (used to be airmiles) then get it put on you credit card. Use you credit card for all spending (pay it off from current account straight away. you don't need many points to get free hotels.

I've never noticed windows in the hotel rooms I've met people in.

(Meaning we were kept rather busy... not that I met them in a prison )

I know the feeling, cos we dont accom we use hotels a lot, vary between 50 and 85 depending on how early you book, i suggets you check hotels sites daily, they fluctuate depending on occupancy. I looked at one hotel, it was £120, then then a few days later it was £85. Try booking.com too, you get so many bookings then a gift like a free stay or discount.

Widnes

Use the comparison sites, booking.com, trivago etc, and when you see a good price, phone the hotel direct and see if they can beat it. They usually can. Done this many times.
