Does getting copy and paste messages lack the personal touch..Would you prefer a more personalised first message..and does anyone send copy and paste?

It gets on my nerves.... the standard copy n paste.... yes I prefer a message that reflects on the fact that they have actually read my profile....

Me! I like to respond to guys when I can do use a polite ‘thanks but no’ mesg... not ideal

But I don’t have time to personalise and figure they’d rather receive something back

Plenty of cut and paste messages in my inbox. The beauty of the new inbox system is that it quickly highlights these. My current record is the exact same message sent from the same person 9 times. Beat that!

I am being totally honest and will reveal that...I don't send copy and paste messages. I don't send out that many so a personalised message doesn't take much.

If they like your pictures a wink will work, if they don't then it wouldn't make any difference if your first message was a novel.

We get a lot of thanks for the wink messages.

Most follow no wink at all and others, to be more correct should say thanks for winking back!

The fact you only get Hi doesn’t mean that they are not copy and paste messages. It’s more likely you simply attract the super lazy

We’d disagree with that. Our very favourite couple - originally ticked very few of our boxes but the clever, lengthy first message completely won us over.

And thank goodness x

I doubt I was the only one to get the same message numerous times. I think some forget that we now have a way to check what messages have been sent before.

Why does anyone take offence at this?

Most profiles have absolutely nothing of interest to stimulate a personalised message.

Just think of any message whatsoever as an extension of, or an invitation to read the profile of the sender.

Honestly it doesn't bother me unless they've sent me their couples copy/paste message

It must become a pain in the arse personally tailoring every message to get no reply, so I can see why guys do it

I will admit I'm unlikely to reply to them unless the pics/profile grab my interest though

It is at times, but every recipient is different.

I have never "copy and paste" a message, each have been written specifically for the lady and around her profile, I'm very proud of the fact, hasn't done me any good, but proud nonetheless.

Fine use a copy and paste message of you must, but please remember to edit the name.

The amount of messages I've had in a copy and paste format that don't check is unreal lol.

Then comes the arsey reply when it's pointed out...

Well don't be so f'kin lazy then!

We tend to read a profile before sending a message to someone. That way we can try to relate to them.
