Remembering the fallen

Whilst we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, some people here will have lost someone in their family.

There are others who were fallen that are now nothing more than a name on a memorial.

To keep their memory alive, how about we all go to our nearest Cenotaph/Memorial, pick a name and do a little research about them.

We can post here or on another thread what we have found

Hiding in the shadows

My eldest son did this, when he was younger.

Took him to the memorial in my hometown, showed him our family.

He then wrote a list of the other names & found their history.

It was very interesting

I went to our local war memorial today for the 2minutes silence. What a good idea to research one of the fallen. I was very moved recently watching " "My boy Jack" about Rudyards Kiplings son XXX

I wouldn't post what I found out though, I don't think that would be appropriate XXX
