We get ignored and have threads turn into a witch hunt on regular occasions.

And this on an “open minded” swingers site.

It must be hell as a single guy on here

If someone ignores my initial message fair enough, it's when you've been chatting to someone a while and seem to be getting on well, then they just suddenly stop! I'm old and experienced enough to know it's because they've had a better offer so I just leave it at that, but it's still crap

With the exception of 2 or 3 people, most TVs comments are skipped over. At first I thought it was just me but having spoken to a few others who fairly regularly use the forums it seems its something they have also noticed. Not sure what the reason is

The strange thing is that even the ones you think of as popular here think they always get ignored. Everyone does get ignored from time to time, especially blokes as we have to work very hard to stand out. But don't let it bother you, just crack on, and someone will notice you.

All joking aside I get ignored quite a bit but I choose to ignore the ignoring if that makes sense ... I learnt quickly that this can be very cliquey but I just jump in and post where I feel like it ... if people respond then great, but if they don't well it's their choice.

If I directly reply to someone and get ignored then that smarts a bit sometimes but hey that's people for you xx

As a regular forum poster, I’m fairly well known.

I post quite often and most of my posts are skipped past because they’re not inspiring posts from others.

Now and then I post something that makes someone spit their tea.

Post something that others might requote otherwise you just add your thoughts. It doesn’t mean they aren’t read and it doesn’t mean your thoughts didn’t add something to the thread.

It’s unlikely this post will be requoted but that’s fine. I had so much fun writing it

Yes. And there are a few posters I avoid myself. I wouldn't say that was purposely ignoring out of any other reason other than not wanting to get drawn into negativity or a conversation where our opinions are poles apart and there will be no point.

Only when I am ignored for saying something nigh on identical to someone else who is quoted and responded to left, right and centre. I understand why, never having been one of the 'popular' kids, but it still rankles occasionally. We are our wealth of experiences.

I’d be surprised if even 10% of what I post is acknowledged and to be honest I’m surprised it’s that high considering the drivel I post.

Do I feel ignored? Not usually

Does it bother me? No

I do try to deliberately respond to a few people who have posted something interesting or are asking for help that have been overlooked.

I’ve never felt excluded on the forum in the four years I have been on it. I guess I just dived in and started splashing around, eventually a few have noticed me and chatted with me, a few got soaked and blocked me, and the rest probably ignore the knobhead splashing around trying to avoid getting wet

Everyone gets ignored at some point. Yeah, sometimes it's a bit crap but honestly it's not that big a thing. Some times the posters aren't particularly friendly (understatement) and moan a heck of a lot - how are people meant to interact with that?

For most people the forums aren't to be taken too seriously. Not all posts need to be added to or commented on either. You can just leave them be, people will read them without thumbing you up.

OP, you ignore posters on here. You've responded to some posters and not others on threads. Are you ignorant OP?

The people that have met at social gatherings tend to group together and ignore people out of their circles. They natter together because they have a connection. Plus people who have been on here like forever, also know what each other eats for breakfast, so they have a connection and natter together. Just try to enjoy the banter and don't sweat the small stuff

We're constantly ignored on the forums but it certainly doesn't bother us. Sometimes we're a bit naughty and post a controversial thread which will always get a wide response, just for entertainment purposes.

All forums can be a bit cliquey. Nature of the beast. Some people regularly go to alot of clubs or spend every waking minute on here. But yes we're all human and its nice to get a response. Even if its not an agreeing one.

"We're constantly ignored on the forums but it certainly doesn't bother us. Sometimes we're a bit naughty and post a controversial thread which will always get a wide response, just for entertainment purposes.

That eclectic range if views, styles etc has gone and replaced by what has been said above.

Yes, people are ignored on here if you don't fit within the "cliquey" style.

That's why I don't appear on here so often. I know of others who avoid the Forums like the plague.

A different mind set and range of interpretations is needed when you are using fab.

Reinterpret ignored, to mean something else instead that doesn't knock you. Likewise rejections.

Those who send the most messages likely get the most rejection - all things being equal. But they also likely get the most meets. If you want to succeed them you have to use rejections to improve your resolve and effectiveness. Otherwise consider the alternatives
