I don't think you can compare the two.

I look for people on here I don't want to date too.I look for people by physical traits at times or specific details like age etc to fit into any role/fantasy I want to fulfil.

In "the real world" people are looking for a connection beyond physical so it may not be that they specifically say no to "BBW" because of the looks it may be more.

Yes there's that whole perceived social stigma of dating someone seen as less than perfect but I think the majority of people are strong enough to follow their heart not the norm.

I've been single for 3yrs and had many many dates. And it always comes down to, your so pretty, a lovely person, very chilled and easy to talk to, excellent girlfriend material but if you lost weight you'd be perfect or you're bigger than I thought!!

So....... it's all down to my own personal experience.

If I am all the above weight shouldn't matter but it obviously does???

Don't think it's your confidence that's the problem but the guys you're dating, you need to go out with guys who are confident enough to stand up for what they like regardless of what others may think/say.

I've one male friend in particular who's always liked very large ladies now on 2nd wife both wives and all girlfriends very much larger ladies. That's what he likes. He's been ribbed something awful over the years but always stuck up for what he likes and whichever lady he's with at the time.

I wouldn't worry about not getting with guys who say that. You're dodging bullets. The whole "if you weren't so big" thing falls down if a guy has sex with a bigger woman but won't date her. He either thinks that she is easy to bed, or is a closet BBW lover. Get with either of these types and you're either going to be pressured into losing weight or end up being made to feel shitty either due to your size being highlighted or the "embarrassment" of being seen in public.

Hold out, there are guys who like big women out there who hold no shame in who they prefer. I should know, because hell, I ended up being incorporated into an article about an ex who was interviewed for chat magazine years ago. And trust me, she was not small at all. Only shame I had about that article was that they just made up everything in it apart for the stuff about me and my life

Just take a look around when you're out and about - and actually look at the couples around you.

Everyone is a different shape and size.

I only properly understood recently what feeling comfortable in your own skin meant.

I wasted so many years feeling bad about myself.

Dieting and spending a lot of time self loathing.

Now I no longer hate myself I have more free time to do other things

Fab isn't a place for anyone with low self esteem - it's going to make you feel worse!

I disagree on the body shaming point.

When I see an anorexic body I feel repulsed because it's not healthy and it's not attractive.

I feel similarly with obese bodies.

To me it's a healthy state to consider those things as unnatractive both individually and generally as a society.

Body shaming to me would be ridiculing somebody who is naturally large/tall/whatever for things beyond their control.

Making anyone with a weight issue, either underweight or overweight, feel shame and proclaiming they repulse you, is likely to add to their problem. Weight problems are so often influenced by mental health, especially anorexia which is treated as a mental health condition. If you are so repulsed by other peoples body shapes then I suggest it is you that needs to sit in front of a large mirror so you only have to see your clearly perfect reflection. Repulsed is a word I rarely use. But when I do its describing a persons attitude, not their body shape...

Im not sure thats entirely true!

Ive always been a bigger girl( im not fond of the term BBW)... in my 20’s it was a little more difficult to get boyfriends (especially when your bestie was a size 8 hottie) but once i hit 30’s id say i grew into myself, my condidence and sass appeared and i never struggled since geting male attention!
