Is it just me or are some of the TV series just slacking this year?

Arrow for example is just bad...literally bad. Actions sequences are cringe worthy and the plot is dull, also too many irrelevant characters.

Lucifer on the other hand, great, maybe better than previous season.

Supernatural is ok, it had it's low in the 7-9 season but picked it up again.

Flash is good, but worse than year before.

Any opinions?

We've just finished season 4 of Arrow, I was tempted not to bother as I got bored during season 3 but thought that S4 was much better, though I did find the penultimate episode much better than the finale.

All the series' I've watched by JJ Abrahms, I find get dull and confused about half way through.

But agree it's hard to find a good show that keeps momentum and interest for the duration.

Season 5 of arrow was good imo, mainly cos of the villain. I didn't like season 3 and 4. Too soon too judge the current season

Season 3 of Flash wasn't good, how can you say it's worse than before?

Walking dead is in the same boat, nothing will happen until the finale or mid season finale. Just compare it to stranger things, I was hyped for every episode couldn't stop watching, and TWD I really don't care even though I've been watching the characters for over five years

To be honest American TV is either amazingly good (House of Cards, The Wire etc..) or very samey, just finished watching 'Tin Star' it was Ok but fairly predictable (I know it's set in Canada) . I certainly recommend some of the Scandinavian crime dramas (The Bridge is by far my favourite) also as I've just discovered from another thread don't miss The Detectorists' absolute gem and British

My bad season 2 of flash was good, season 3 iris drama was terrible, you're right.

As for season 6 of arrow, if it was the first season the show would have been cancelled by 2nd episode.

I'm outside of my TV watching season - I've loved the Handmaids Tale this year but it's only season 1. I also don't really pay for TV, so am constrained by technology
