Over the years we've come close to telling people about our swinging lifestyle, but we never have. It'd be great to have someone we could chat to about our exploits, but we're still not ready to reveal our cheeky hobbie. Is anyone in the same boat? Or have you already come out?

We mostly keep it very secret but both of us have come out to our two oldest friends (each).

It’s hugely fun to see the shock and awe on their faces and to answer in every gory detail the flood of questions that come next.

I came out on facebook.

I said i thought it would be shagadelic sex parties among swinging hot sexy people.

But it was more like having seedy sex in cheap hotels, with a girl that is just a bit lonely.

I dunno if my friends believed me or not though.

We're not overtly open about it as such, but most of our friends have an inkling that we get up to all sorts, and Mr R's work colleagues talk about me being a 'naughty wife' apparently. I think as much as anything, I don't want to make my kids (16 & 20) feel uncomfortable, a lot of our friends are their friends too so we try to be a bit discrete out of respect for them. If they ever broached the subject, I'd be very honest with them about it, so they knew that there's more than one way to live your life and have a relationship, not just the conventional model that society sets out for us.

J: Well.......not unfaithful but".............

Friends: You whaaaaaaaaaaat?

(Animated questioning for the next 1.5 hours).

we never mention it to anyone! The friends we had have left the scene so it’s pretty frustrating not having friends to talk too.

My two closest friends know and wait anxiously for the.next sordid updates when we are due for a girls night out.

If my car isn’t visible as they pass they will text to ask “what were you up to last night?”

We feel the same way. I've even started to tell friends about it before, then changed the story before I revealed the truth. Would be great to have folk to talk to about our exploits.

My gf and I have plenty friends that know what we do...it's no different than any other pass time or hobby really so we don't care if people know.

We've had some friends from 'normal life' attend parties after wondering, and now many of my fab friends have become every day friends and have met and now know my old everyday friends..there's a really good cross over between our lives. I like it that way though, I can never be bothered maintaining any kind of duality.

I don't get why so many people hide their fab sides..you just like sex is all. It's not like swinging or fab are particularly weird or kinky either but I guess folk have their reasons.
