Honesty/politeness

Genuine question..

Is being honest (about your situation) and generally being polite the best policy on here?

Recently found out a couple of the “single” ladies I was chatting with are actually married. Doesn’t bother me due to being in a relationship myself but they clearly are having more fun and meets as a “single”

Wondered what people’s opinions were on it.

Happy fabbing

I think being honest is the best option. Nothing worse then chatting to someone for ages to only then realise that they are not what or who they made out to me. Just be honest. Your not going to be everyone's cup of tea anyway. At least give them the option to decide weather that want to stay chatting

Oh I agree fully and my profile is honest as anyone can see.

Also I’d prefer to know the truth and make my own decisions ok it again as you say.

Just seems to be more hypocrites tbh on here than genuine swingers. X

I think so.

If you’re attached then say so on your profile so that people can make an informed decision whether to meet you.

When I was here as a single lady I was still married to my ex husband. He had consented to me doing what I wanted, as long as he didn’t know about it. So, I put this on my profile.

There was one man I met for a social, got on well with and I agreed to meet him at his house one afternoon for the play meet. When I arrived the wedding photos were all over the walls of the lounge. The meet ended right there and then! He was playing behind his wife’s back, in their family home and didn’t have the decency to tell people.

There were other men that I met who were honest about their relationship status and we had some great meets.

The only thing that I find really off putting about people who are in a relationship but using single profiles is when they are disrespectful about their partner in the forums, their status or their profile

Honesty (whatever that is) about marital status is expected from men but not so much from women.

We're not honest. Our location and actual date of birth aren't 100% accurate, we won't answer every question a meet asks us with the absolute truth.

How much truth do people want? Does that truth have to be factual or opinion i.e. the difference between "I am married" and "I think your bum does look big in that"

I like people to be honest in their intent, I'm not keen on being misled and I'd much rather a married person just stated that. On the whole though I don't expect or generally even want complete honesty from the people we meet on fab.
