Anyone else guilty of this mentality?

I absolutely dread it.

You keep telling yourself you start on Monday or tomorrow, and never do...

Or you do start just to give up the next day...

I'm now trying a different method to overcome this 'laziness' but if you have any tips please share

Its always tomorrow.

No tips some days I wake up super motivated and everything I've put off gets done. I drive hubby mad.

I don't say that any more. A job that has to be done gets done on the spur of the moment. It's usually something to do with my house or garden, and the only time I do anything spur of the moment.

I've turned procrastination into an art form. If it was an Olympic sport I would be going for gold..

Im terrible for this if its something im not keen on doing or dont particularly want to. Just one more day.

However if its something i want to do, thats a completely different story

Yep, this is me. Sunday night I'll think, right tomorrow I will start to burn off the weekend Junk-a-thon.

Then Monday comes and Boom! I'm not in a committing mood.

Where's the Lurpak

For me it's currently getting into a workout routine. Normally I don't have a problem with this but there is 1 exercise which really puts a lot of strain on my wrists/forearms and the pain is really demotivating.

I'm now trying to play a motivational video when my alarm hits the workout time, I'm currently on the third day, so progress

Not laziness, procrastination, everyone does it about something, usually a difficult/boring/unpleasant task so quite natural and understandable

I'm very guilty

Great thoughts in my head but just can't get motivated to start them

Sometimes even going food shopping or filling up with petrol gets put off.

Sending important e mails gets put off

Whatever this is I suffer from it .

I'm not even going to try and pretend I know how to help with that if you'd said squats or bench etc I could help.

Good luck with that mate.

I feel like that's what lazy people say to have an excuse not to do it

You seem to be making a moral judgement about laziness which I don't share

Yeah, I'm guilty of this.

But Marc told me about Habitica, which is a website/app that's makes your habits/daily tasks/to-do lists into an interactive game. It's really fun and motivates me. You could give it a try. It's reeallly basic, like...really basic, but it's fun anyway. I've been super productive because of it, lately.

I've started using the 5second rule and even though I wasn't sure about it to begin with I've finding it quite effective.
