customising/ jazzing up/ recycling

i just can't stop, its great fun! I blame Hobbycraft for this new phase i'm going through

so far this week i've done a series of photo frames, a plain white bed canopy, painted a chest of drawers and some cheap square canvas's :D

Going to attack the bathroom next with wall stickers and some hand painted fish :D

Do people tend to customise/jazz up plain items to give them a fresh look or just dispose of them when they become bored.

Ohh yes! lol We both love it! unfortunately now working full time we don't have much time for it.

It's great because you create something and it's unique! Plus you get satisfaction out of it

I've bought furniture from auctions with the sole aim of transforming it. Think my lovely white dresser with wrought iron handles cost £30 in total yet looked like a piece of tat when purchased.

I'm with the OP on this, it can be very satisfying and has saved a fair few quid over the years

I'm the recycling queen. People tend to throw out the most amazing stuff that with a bit of TLC can give me pleasure for years and save me a fortune
