It’s terrible isn’t it, however imagine that said person doesn’t log on a daily basis and when she does she has an inbox of 900 messages, can you imagine having to say no thanks to even half of them. I’m sorry but a deleted message is an indication of they’re not interested.

I don't know how you saw this going op. I also don't understand why people get so offended by people not answering, if I sent someone a message and they didn't answer I would just assume they weren't interested, no harm no foul. Why do people get so personally offended by this. I don't reply to 95% of the messages I get because they're from people im not interested in. I'm not going to send 20 odd messages a day saying 'no thankyou I'm not interested' because then you will just get the inevitable abuse back or something along the lines of 'you don't know me and should give me a chance'. Deleting or not answering saves everyone time in the long run

Honestly OP if you got 2000+ in one day would you say no thanks to all of them

If the answers yes then I'm afraid you clearly have no life away from the i on the other hand have disabled parents I share the care of with my siblings, a full job and I'm a single mum to 3 kids with a house to run also.

so even if I took a minute per message for 2000 of them that's would take me 33 hours and 20 minutes just in original replies then more new messages are coming in not to mention those that still try to re message after you said not thanks with either a thanks for reply, abuse or begging message so the hoots roll over into weeks, there just isn't the time

OP, just in case you come back to defend your comments (which I doubt) let me ask you a couple of questions:

- Which is more ignorant - someone who doesn't reply to messages (which site FAQS indicate is a perfectly acceptable form of rejection for this site) or someone who uses a profile name that is puerile?

- Do you reply to all the unsolicited junk mail you receive, the one from the Nigerian guy offering you millions just for allowing him to use your bank account, or the one from Domino's offering you free toppings if you supersede your pizza? No? Does that not make you ignorant by your definition?

- Who is more likely to get a response to their messages? The guy with the well thought out profile, backed up with decent pictures, who sends well written messages tailored to the recipient, who accepts that no response is just a Fab acceptable way of saying "no thanks" - or the guy with a two line profile and not great pics (usually of his cock), who sends poorly written generic messages and then shows a negative attitude about the lack of responses he gets?

See? When you think about it, it's not so ignorant after all?

Why do people get so personally offended by this. I don't reply to 95% of the messages I get because they're from people im not interested in. If the answers yes then I'm afraid you clearly have no life away from the i on the other hand have disabled parents I share the care of with my siblings, a full job and I'm a single mum to 3 kids with a house to run also.

so even if I took a minute per message for 2000 of them that's would take me 33 hours and 20 minutes just in original replies then more new messages are coming in not to mention those that still try to re message after you said not thanks with either a thanks for reply, abuse or begging message so the hoots roll over into weeks, there just isn't the time

I'm an advocate of not sending the first message. I see it as, if they mail you, at least you know there's an interest. But what happens when we all start to do that? This could quickly become a problem.

I'm with the OP on this one. Yesterday I shouted at a woman from my car, and the fucking bitch didn't even cross the road to thank me for taking the time to talk to her or apologise for wasting my valuable time by not being interested. RUDE

It's the nature of this webiste. You win some, you lose some. I mostly lose haha but now and then I get lucky and strike a conversation. Women get flooded with mail. These women may as well work for the royal mail sorting office that's how much messages they get and you expect a reply. Any other platform is the same probably like plenty of fish or Tinder.

Not getting a reply just take that as a no, but people going out their way to reply with message full of abuse thats just plain rude and they have a attitude problem, if someone hits reply and isnt interested they should just say "no thanks" not go over your spelling and grammer and question if you went through their profile with a fine tooth comb and a team of csi to find the hidden message they want in a subject box, some people make your blood boil on here just click the block button and move on.

a) It's a conspiracy against you

b) You're doing something wrong
