I don't pretend to know anything about classical music but the last night at the Proms is usually good.

I would love to attend, but believe that you have to attend so many 'proms' to be able to be there

For me, it is a classic night!

All things British too!

The Royal Albert Hall....I've sung at this wonderful venue several times. A great place!

I can almost tolerate Auld Lang Syne being sung out of context but for goodness sake would someone teach them the 'arm' movements, grrr

Well said!

I daresay that most of them are Sassenachs, who've never even thought of going North of the Border.

They've a lot to learn!

Been there, done that, won't do it ever again!

A lot of them bought the season ticket without attending any of the concerts except to turn up on the last night, and spoil it for the regulars.

Due to not managing to get tickets.. I took my daughters to our local big screen.. There was only about 50 people turned up..

but the atmosphere was still quite good..Despite the rain..

What did shock me though was the amount of people walking past showing no respect.. like comments during rule brittania...

It shocked me a little..

Next year I am getting my tickets to go to the royal albert hall.. as getting a season ticket for the proms

Cool! we're on a roll then, we've just about 12 months to get it all organised, hopefully London won't still be packed out with visitors coming for the paralympics then, and we'll be able to find hotel rooms for people, and so on and so forth
