Chatting to someone and offer to take it to WhatsApp - silence.

Chatting to another in what appears a friendly debate - block.

Registering interest in a few (a bit like winking here), they do likewise. I then message them and then get ignored.

If i gave men here that much attention, they'd be worshipping at my feet by now

Conclusion - I'm definitely not suitable for the vanilla world anymore

Are these men in the category of - if you show any attention it’s akin to wanting marriage.

Perhaps if you tell them from the outset you promise not to look them directly in the eye, you may have more luck

I've also come across many weird women on there.

1. Loads of emotional baggage

2. Send winks. I wink back. Never hear from them.

3. Chatting online. Ask for phone number to take it to WhatsApp...and they dissappear.

4. Desperate and needy. I dont want to know straight on that you want children within 6 months!!

But hey this is online dating... Everyone is different and have had different experiences. There is someone out there for everyone. Pof just might not be the right platform. Match is a lot better!

My ex is on there, he had the balls to swipe meet me on one of my friends profiles, so she messaged me of course. His profile is amusing, basically full of lies about him having is own house (we rent together but I’ve left it at the moment but still paying my share) about him going to musical and sporting events... nope doesn’t do that either. About him liking weekends away... meals out ( only if someone else pays!) being a gentleman- well when we broke up it was me that slept on the sofa even though I paid for the bed- basically his profile is full of bullshit- I wouldn’t trust any guys on that site to be honest. At least here usually what you see is what you get

Match is an awful platform. POF gives you plenty free, Match takes your money then demands more and more for upgrades that POF views as basic.

Pof isn't the problem, people are, and in general, the older they are, the more baggage they have accumulated.

I found myself suddenly single in my mid thirties. I tried going to bars, speed dating, match and pof.

I met women with baggage everywhere, so my guess is that men are the same.

Anyway, I had a happy ending (disney style). Met my partner on pof and eight years and two babies later we are still together.

Then again, maybe we are both weird...
