What you said. Charlie Chaplin was a genius too, Eric morecomb was absolute spot on when on form. And don't forget Ronnie Barker. (Two Ronnie) Dave Allen.

And although British comedy is fantasic Steve Martin is still my number one to watch, he was my first real belly laugh watching stand up, and his career is brilliant to watch in film and everything else he does.
