Do women/men actually respond to this kind of behaviours? Do people still do it? So it became the Topic of convo at work with colleague and she seemed to think its out dated and has lost its meaning, now its used more to harass than to compliment.. ive never used it as its not my style but wanted to know peoples opinion so who better than the trusted fabbers!! Please share

I don't like it. I think it's one of those things that sends shivers down my spine as it was fairly "normal" to have it happen as a young teen walking down the road and the whistle was generally coming from a van of workmen. Proper letched me out and gave me the creeps.

Someone did it to me a few weeks ago and it was the first time I'd heard one for years. I must admit it's nice to walk past a building site or such like and not have to endure them and the talk that used to accompany them. X

I'd take it as a compliment if a group of women or guys wolf whistled.

But can understand it if women didn't like it in front of a group of guys.

Saying that, it purely depends on the lady x

On a different situation, during my clubbing years when walking with a pint in both hands whilst walking through a group of women, a few times I'd get them grabbing my ass or nipping it which as a guy loved it. It really does depend on the situation and totally subjective when it comes to wolf whistling.

I dont mind the wolf whistle. I often give a little appreciative smile back. But if its followed up with "get your tits out for the lads" then youl get the middle finger and no smile. Lol. Theres a thin line between friendly banter and verbal abuse. We all put that line at different places in the scale. X
