I don’t want to be disliked, no. Or be a cunt to people. So yeah I care to an extent. But, I won’t be inauthentic or undermine my values in order to be liked and I know that whatever my intentions there’ll be plenty that don’t take to me and I’m always willing to engage and try and find mutual understanding (I’ve made friends with plenty of people who said something to me not liking me and we talked more and found there to be a miscommunication, or an ability to respect differing opinions) — but I won’t be for everyone, and that’s okay.

I'm me, I come here, I post on threads that interest me, I partake of some of the fun threads, dish out profile advice when it's called for, give my two bobs worth in other discussions and debates and generally have a take me or leave me attitude.

So, no doesn't overly bother me, or even cross my mind as to whether I'm liked - although it's of course a pleasant bonus when someone tells me that I am.

Yeah I noticed a few min's ago that a couple have me blocked I don't even know them and don't recall talking to them so it does make you wonder a little.

Do people even remember why they block/don't like each other on the forum? I looked at my block list a wee bit back and had a forumite or two on there and wondered what got me to pop them on there..I don't have the capacity to hold on to some crossed word or annoyance on line from X amount of weeks/months ago

It's just such a droll way to spend your time on fab

Some do, some don't and the majority will probably have no opinion either way or range on a scale from mild irritation to extreme loathing. I like to be liked because I happen to know I'm a pretty decent human being with a wry sense of humour - but since I already know that I don't have to be liked because I can do my own liking. I think!

I've only recently returned and most of the regulars are different so new friendships are developing.

I don't think most people care enough to care what I think...which is fine...I'm really just 5 pictures and a few paragraphs of babble.

To anyone who becomes my friend - I care - that I can't help, and I'm glad of it.

There are some posters whose contributions I look forward to reading..both in the lounge and the politics 'rooms' - there are some really smart people here, which is why I spend more time on the forums than anywhere else on the site - plus rejection makes me sad.

With people that I interact with in real life that are an integral part of my life, yes. It's nice to be liked. Random strangers on a swinging site isn't top priority of people I'll be crying about because they don't like me.

And if those decisions are based on a sparse profile and a few pics then it's a superficial way to decide who we may like or not.

Yeah I like to be liked and don't go out to intentionally offend or hurt anyone but I'm going to be myself and that is enough to be disliked by some. I'm not going to worry about that.

I think a few on the forum like me, a few more probably dislike me and the vast majority are pretty indifferent to me.

I'm pretty new here but I'd like to think I contribute to the forums in a positive way. I like an intellectual debate and I like to make people laugh. Some people don't like their views challenged and don't handle it well but it's never my intention to upset. And some won't get my humour. You can't please everyone all the time and I would want to if it meant not being myself. I like that some people like me and accept that some inevitably won't. That's life!

I’m sure there must be people that don’t like me and they keep it to themselves.... that’s perfect!

Do I care if people don’t like me? .... yes I do, on here and off here. It’s the way I am and have always been.

I always try to be kind to whoever I interact with, but then I’m like that off Fab too. If there is something I disagree with or feel strongly about I will say, but I’m not aggressive or blunt in doing so.

I think no matter who you are, you will always have people who don't like you for whatever reason. It's not possible to make everybody like me, and it's certainly not vital to me that people do. I like myself and I know I'm a decent person.

But, obviously being rebuffed by others can be unpleasant as it's human nature to want to be accepted, and people that say they don't care, probably do?

As long as the people I connect with think I'm okay, that works for me. The Forum is for fun, no point in sweating the small stuff.

Forums are forums and it's all on line. Maybe they just like my online personality. The only way to find out if we really liked each other would be meeting up, at a social or 1-1. Then you know if you like the person you think they are.

Do I care? I would care greatly if I wanted to meet up with them. And yes, i'd care a little if people didn't like me, but I'm sentimental in a morning.

It's not a question for me as to whether forumites like me or not but more if I even register on the radar of most of them. I'm pretty introverted in real life and keep myself to myself so usually feel in the background - Fab feels the same, which doesn't surprise me.

I do suspect I may be seen as a bit boring as I don't (can't) often banter or flirt but I am very conscious when I post of trying to be fair and non offensive because my natural tendency is to be very blunt so I have to make an effort to curb that. I'm happy I make enough effort to be reasonably pleasant so if someone didn't like me it wouldn't worry me unduly.

I have no idea if people on the forums like me. I would imagine I'm rarely noticed by most. I no longer chose to communicate with anyone on the forums so that probably shows that people mostly don't notice me except for a couple of people who i noticed are critical of me
