"I love running, my knees aren't so keen ![]() Age has got to be annoying when you want to do thing that this weak human body can't. My speed has gone when running sprints, but I've still got the long distance in me. ![]()

"Yes I do. Love it in fact. It my me time. Peace and quiet. Earphones in and hitting the roads. " The roads you say? That sounds like a recipe for disaster. How can you hear anything, i.e. traffic, or even a pushbike wit a bell on it?

"So I've just been for a run." The OP has, in the true sense of the season, become one of the recently departed. For everyone else, I remind you of some of the 32 Rules of post-apocalypse Zombieland: 1. Cardio To escape a pursuing zombie you will need to out-run it, and this means being in good shape. 7. Limber Up Before going into a zombie-infested area, you will need to prepare for the impending running by limbering up. 11. Enjoy The Little Things As well as surviving all the zombies, you'll also need to maintain a happy and sane state of mind by keeping positive. So, look behind you and RUN! Dr Nasty

"So I've just been for a run. I do it once a week on top of everything else because I find it helps my legs feel better for a game of rugby. Every single time I finish and just think to myself, 'I thought it was supposed to get easier?' It never does though. So do you enjoy it? If you do when did you actually start enjoying? Feels more like self flagellation at this point. " No,no,no and no don't like running... Prefer cycling and swimming and golf!

"I lie being a runner but I don't always enjoy running. A lot of sessions are simply a means to an end" I’ll agree with that though - you are 3 or 4 miles from home and just have to grit your teeth and plug away until you’re done

Three times a week at least then you'll feel the benefit and it'll get more comfortable

"Running is not the way to loose weight? Explain why boxers run in sweat suits for weeks twice a day to loose weight then ?" Its a way... just not optimal on its own. Cardio and resistance in tandem will work much quicker

"I don't enjoy running so I do it on a treadmill. I can push myself harder and the motivation is that if I stop, I will face plant the belt.... ![]() I think you need better support in your trainers if road running hurts although the other things is roads have gradients and if your only running flat on a treadmill that xould explain it.

"Running is not the way to loose weight? Explain why boxers run in sweat suits for weeks twice a day to loose weight then ?" Boxers run for stamina and endurance not for weight loss. The average boxing match last 30mins plus use to be longer. try standing swinging your arms and legs for 30mins none stop and you will see why boxers occasionally run.
