Rugby Union. (Though I stopped playing it years ago, I now just shout at it and keep my ‘eyes on the thighs’ - gutted James Haskell isn’t on the squad).

Started my University’s first ever ladies team and then played for the Royal Navy, many moons ago. So many moons ago that my very favourite trophy says ‘Man of the Match’ because they hadn’t quite caught up with the concept that the Lumpy Jumper Squad might join in. Bless ‘em.

I like most sports, and can play most too, except cricket. It bores me to death. Football is the one I enjoyed most of my life, but recently turned to golf more.

I might go back to playing 5 a side again soon.

Edging marathons... massive amounts of tenacity and endurance required, so that it doesn't just end up being a 100m sprint. Quite a few knee wobbles and self doubt at times but, nothing quite like Hitting that finish line and collapsing in a sweaty sticky heap.

Watching - anything involving horses apart from polo (too much ironmongery) and rugby - union or league, they've all got lovely thighs. Actually I'll watch nearly anything apart from football.

Participating - now dressage. Used to event to intermediate/two star/100be and p2p.

Rugby union, started playing 25 years ago and still going strong. Was lucky enough to play at the dizzy heights of National League One (now the Greene King IPA Championship) and a Powergen Imtermediate Cup final when I was in my prime, currently playing for a National League Two side as well as coaching a youth team and occasionally refereeing youth matches
