I think it's a nightmare. How does it being dark in the afternoon do anyone any favours?

East Sussex

When I was about 11 or 12 there was a trial period of about three years where they kept to daylight saving all year. I remember everyone complaining about it.

I can't properly remember but I think the clocks didn't go back in the autumn. I used to travel quite a long way to school and remember going in the dark for a couple of years during the winter.

My mum used to get really cross.

And so easy to remember - as in "when I trip up, I fall forwards," and on the other hand "when something startles me, I spring back".....

Um... have I got that right....?

"I've got the night shift"

Oh bad luck. Do you have to do the extra hour? I always think that the night shift should do half an hour extra and the day shift come in half an hour early. Do you get an extra hours pay?
