Was out on the hills here last night, walking the dogs. The wind and the rain had not arrived yet nd the sky was fairly clear and the air quite still.

Across the bay, and out into the sound, I could hear the whales moo-ing (or whatever it is they do) and there were shooting stars trailing across the sky above me.

Just another night when I have felt so blessed to be living here on MY island. Am just so glad I made the move

There a few, more humbling encounters to be had in life than witnessing the wonder of Whales….

I too have been blessed with that good fortune on a number of occasions in the past and each experience remain utterly unforgettable....

It was quite an eerrie sound and took me a couple of seconds to work out what it was.....but, combined with the shoting stars it made for a memorable evening

I’m hoping for stargazing skies tonight….

I want to try and cop a look at this Super-nova event which I believe took place about 14 million years ago and is only coming into our _iew now….

Apparently its only visible for the next ten days with normal binoculars ….

I find that both equally mind-boggling and fascinating….

Follow the plough handle to its second star and aim up a bit I’m told is the best way to find it.. here’s hoping
