You are right Elmo wasn't on the show 'the muppets' but the question was who was the best muppet, and technically anything created by Jim Henson is a muppet... that includes Sesame Street, The Muppets, Fraggle Rock and many more of his shows...

So nuuuurrrrr back at you

I'm a purist, if it wasn't on The Muppets, then it isn't a Muppet. Big Bird was never a Muppet, although I will make an exception for Gordon Brown.

Let the music play,

Down at Fraggle Rock.

Work you cares away,

Dancing's for another day.

Let the Fraggles play,

We're Gobo, Mokey, Wembley, Boober, Red.

Dance your cares away,

Worry's for another day.

Down at Fraggle Rock.

Fozzy bear. A stand up comedienne bear who was depressed becasue he thought he was not funny. Best thing was he wasn't funny. Classic.

I liked Florence, then Dougal then Zebedee. They were great. Then there was Hector, he was cool too, but the bestest ever was the guy who used to change clothes and have a different adventure every day - can't remember his bleedin name though!!

Ah, those were the good old days, weren't they? Back when you could call a black cat 'Sooty' and not be labelled a racist. We've lost so much over the last three decades and the kids of today will never know what it's like to have a vocabulary that isn't subject to the thought police bearing down on you if you don't take care to think about the words you utter before you utter them.

I friend of mine called his jack russell 'nigger' simply because it was brown but he was also a top boxer and could call his dog from 300 yards away outside the school gates in a multi-ethnic area and not get stabbed. It was racist, I guess, but it was also damned funny.
