I hate the phrase tomboy, why can't girls like things that aren't pink and glittery without being considered masculine? And I certainly think it's a strange turn of phrase to apply to any woman old enough to be on here.

I work with cars, bikes and engines, I like to wrestle, I live in jeans and converse and I swear like a builder but I also want to be treated like a princess and have girly compliments thrown at me every once in a while...I may be quite hardwork rather than a cutesy tomboy

My soul-mate never wore tights skirts or dresses make-up perfume or made any effort with her hair .....

Her teeth needed work she was best described as unconventionally beautiful

She had the most amazing eyebrows and spoke with rare accent that defied geography.... part Scottish part American part Irish

Cricky I love that girl

My photos are deceptive, I live in jeans and boots generally and can't remember what a comb is

I am probably right in the middle of this ... I don't like pink things (unless it's a cock or skin ), sparkly things have their place but not constantly, I love jeans and no make up days but I don't think I'm remotely masculine...

(or a tomboy ... I was when I was about 5 tho does that count? )

Hiding in the shadows

I was a total tomboy growing up, lived on a small cul-de-sac with 17 boys so never really did anything girly.

Refused to wear dresses, even threw myself on the compost heap once when my mum made me wear one!

As an adult, most of my jobs & hobbies have been in a male dominated environment.

I box, train hard & keep up with 'the lads' I spend most of the week in gym wear or covered in oil.

But my favourite colour is pink, I love sparkles & glittery stuff, and somewhere in my 40s realised I like wearing dresses!

Think I'm a bit of both, depending on my mood.
