Most of us have a dream to start our own business whether it's a tea room, pub, cake shop etc

What's your dream and will you ever do it

I'm working on it.

I have been lucky to work for my self for years, and owned businesses that were dream jobs, but I'm fickle, I move on to other things.

My dream business is to run a kennel for dogs. And depending on where I end up when I move back to the U.S., I might just give it a try.

A school sports coach where I'd go from school to school rather than be a pe teacher and concentrate on just the one sport.

Sadly with council cut backs they have had to lay off a lot of full time staff doing so, a development officer.

Surely there is a market, I know of a few football businesses like this.

Not exactly a business, more a Labour of love i suppose but I wanted to record and release my own music. Being honest though, I've foolishly allowed being on fab to destroy the creative life i had. I used to write and record music/songs, i was pretty good at it too. i could still realise my ambitions but realistically that's not going to happen while we're on here.

Wouldn't it be odd if we all did what we actually wanted to do instead of forced to work hard to earn the freedom to do what we want when we retire?

Live for the dream, not the money.

My friend has a franchise doing exactly this, he's bought two additional areas now.

Biggest problem is finding reliable staff when you grow but he's nearby a uni so plenty of young people looking for work.

I think the problem is we'd end up with shitty streets, no staff in supermarkets and blocked up drains as everyone would set up doing dreamy things

Think of that bigger picture I've tried to paint for you. . Who's building cars? How many people want to drive those trucks full of fuel that drive down those streets? Wouldn't it be nice to give nature some elbow room for a while?

"A farmer "

We’re always taught to be sorry for farmers who are constantly having a bad time but around 50% of the people on Grand Designs are farmers.

I don’t know about a dream business but I’d like to have an online shop at some point and move somewhere cheaper to yo operate it from.

Good luck on Saturday. Don’t ever look back & avoid any naysayers who might potentially drag you down. Your success is entirely in your hands now.

Picking litter up of the side of the road with one of those grabby things. No stress, no targets, no trying to please everyone, no being a mother to grown men or making sure everyone is safe. Just gimme a hiviz jacket and a bag and I would be gone! That’s my dream job!

Bookshop with lots of comfy chairs and good coffee.

It would never be open. I’d just invite people round to sit, drink coffee and read books

Quietly
