Hi

Following on from another thread I started about the cost of living. How much is it for a pint at your local?

My local is a Sam Smith's brewery owned pub. Just been refitted after the 2015 floods. Lovely pub, right next to the canal.

A pint of Sam Smith's bitter is £2.00 and a pint of lager is £2.30. This is standard price for a lovely pint (not to be compared with cheapo night club £1 a pint offers, who sell off out of date barrels)

How much do you pay?

around me,the wetherspoons is by far the cheapest, £2.50 ish...the only other 2 nice pubs, a pint of cider, dont know about ales, is just over a fiver..a g&t is nearly £7.

Varies depending on the pub - can still get a pint in Wetherspoons for around £2.50 odd I think but on average round here you're looking at closer to the £4 mark for a pint of bitter

The pub I work in is £3.75 for fosters, £4 for kronenberg, £4 for ipa all pints. Half the price for halfs.

I Onley ever by appal tize at £1.60 or a pint of cola and that is £2.00

A pint of strong bow dark is £3.50 but i don't often drink that.

Ales cheaper but as I don't drink it no idea what it costs.

Apart from Wetherspoons, ya don't seem to get much change out of £3.50 anywhere round here for a pint of cider, although there are a couple of Real Ale pubs within striking distance that are slightly more reasonable

Last pub I went to in your neck of the woods was the Brunswick. Awesome food and even better real ales ??

Yeah, the Brunswick is only a 5 min walk from me, I've not eaten there, but it does have its own micro brewery

Don;t drink locally so no idea. On the increasingly rare times I drink in London at a club or gig I;d expect to somewhat begrudgingly pay a fiver for a can (not even draught) cider

I can pay @£2.50 up to £5.70 all within a 5 minute walk

Here in Ireland in the sticks its Euro 4.10 for lager, 4.0 for guinness and a whiskey is 3.40, but would be more expensive in the city.

Not surprising really with how expensive pubs are now. We’d rather get some drinks from the supermarket and then invite friends over to socialise at home. Or, we’d rather buy a few drinks and take them to a swingers club

I was buying rounds in Dublin but I think in gogartys I paid @€8 for lager but others were @ €7 lager and Guinness €6 ish

Depends what I'm drinking. £1.85 a pint of Boddingtons or up to £8 a pint for De Molen or Cloudwater. I'd much rather have the later.

It's bonkers out there. Go with work to Denmark a fair bit, couple of beers and a pub meal will set you back nearly £40 good job work pay for it

Around me it's £3 and up depending on what it is. Decent beer IPA is closer to £4.

Wetherspoons range from £2.25-£2.65 depending on the drink.

Usually works cheaper if you combine it with a meal offer.

Wine bars usually start from around £3.30 up to £4.

If your brave enough to dare a restaurant or 2 they are ranging from £5-£5.50 a pint

I pay around £ 8-9 for a double Hennessy.. but if I went for the xo , then will prob set me back £20.. after all , either drink... you pay for quality huh!

I have paid £4.50 for a pint of hoegarden back in 1999, in a pub near Harley street.

There us a beautiful bar in Manchester called Bock, £5 for a glass of Affiglem. Worth every penny.
