In America there are men's restrooms and women's

Is it that way across the pond or are the restrooms unisex?

We don’t have restrooms (no one goes there to rest!)

We have toilets and they come in both separate sexes and unisex depending where you are

Yes, we have both male and female 'restrooms', although the only resting done in there is by the local d*unk!

Somewhere / Everywhere /Kinksville

In the states one time working and I asked a colleague where the toilet was. He looked at me gone out and explained where the bathroom was. Unsurprisingly when I got there, I found a toilet and no bath.

Good question though OP!

Here's one for you:

Why do you not pronounce the 2nd 'I' in aluminium?

Worcester

Could never work out why the call them restrooms over there?

One thing for sure, it won’t be for them to rest their weary brains

We don't spell it aluminium. We spell it aluminum. It was the original spelling. It later got changed to aluminium to make it more consistent with the rest of the periodic table, but we (Americans) kept the original spelling.

It's called a boot here, cos in days of horse and carriage, there was a rack on the back with largest shelf for luggage at the bottom a big leather cover laced up the middle that made it look like a boot snd the name stuck, American 'trunk' was from a large trunk on the roof of stage coaches
