Seems macdonalds among loads of others are now showing the calorific values of meals.

Do you think this will change the eating habits of the fast food junkies ??????

No, because they'll just buy 2 instead of one

People like what they like and numbers on packaging won't make any difference.

Its an american thing which is migrating here. Quite hypocritical really considering the obesity levels are really high in the states.

I think anything that will make people think about what they are eating is a good thing. Those questioned on bbc1 this morning were not aware how many calories were in their meals and were quite shocked.

At least now we can make an informed choice .

The obesity levels in some UK counties are higher than in the US. The problem is fast food is too cheep and easily available for up to 24 hrs a day.

Eventually it will have an effect, but how much of an effect will be dictated by how much education relating to healthy eating practices members of the general public are willing to swallow or digest!!!

But, yes, it’s a small step in the right direction.. So as even the longest journey must start with a step however big or small, it is a good initiative,,,, although, perhaps in the case of many people, a few less suprsized steps would've been more appropreate long before now...
