Anyone else find it real frustrating when you take the time to message someone (obviously

finding them attractive!) for them to say oh “IM not your type”. Are they just being polite or what

Hiding in the shadows

Frustrated that someone doesn't find me attractive that I don't match their preferences?

No, not at all.

That's life, you take a deep breath & get over it

They probably mean that they believe you are "out of their league"

However that should be for you to decide. Unless it's a nice way of letting you down gently...

If they don't find you attractive you aren't their type, I would think. Although, I don't have a type myself, I see hundreds of faces on men I don't feel any attraction to.

We can't be everyone's type OP

It's a minefield for us too, take it on the chin and there are plenty that will like.

They could be being polite. Or maybe they really don’t think their interests align with yours. We will never know, and there’s not really much point wondering about it... unless you enjoy doing your own head in.

Don't place so much emphasis upon needing to be a match with someone - it's no strings fun you're messaging about, not applying for the job you've always wanted.

Expect that even of the people who speak with you that you won't continue to meet the majority of them.

Why would you !!?

It’s an honest reply and at least they have bothered to send you a message back !

The abuse i get just for saying that at times is not on!

I’m just being HONEST

Come on we all have our types wants and needs we can’t all be compatible!

Take it as a complimentary way to give you the brush off.

It's a tactful way of turning you down.

"What i get a all the time

You're not my type but you're funny - always happy chat x

Im like the not gay gay guy friend

Found me calling"

What the op is saying I think is that people are turning him down by saying "they" are not his type.

"I don’t think you get it lol"

We get the point you're making and its either a polite way of saying 'we don't like you' or they are saying you are out of their league in the non Fab world and they wouldn't be comfortable about that.

I’ve said that to some men who have messaged me in the past.

It was definitely a feeling of not being good enough for them

Maybe there thinking...young hot fit guy ...why would he be interested in me?

So feel intimidated by your look so say there not your type as they think your type wants the same fit athletic body?

Just a thought?

I've said it to a few guys when I've read their profile and they state what they are looking for or into and it's not compatible with what I like. I guess in essence it's a polite no.

We have actually said that once to a couple. They messaged us about a meet up, both slim and very attractive, but their profile said they were looking for the same....we are certainly not slim that's for sure so we said that we didn't think we met what they were looking for. Didn't get any more correspondence after that, but it did make us wonder why they messaged us. Hmmmm.

Yes of a profile talks about seeking a kinky slut I might say that, or if you had 10 veris from hot 25yr olds....but I can't see why from your profile. Maybe they don't feel 'sculpted' enough to be a match for you lol!

I’ll say that if the person who messages me is ‘nilla or into something I’m not into, like humiliation. Not letting people down gently, it’s just that I can see that neither would get what they want from a meet.

Just assume anyone that has a 'type' has a complete lack of imagination.

You can find something attractive in prett much anyone
