Why when certain individuals post the oh so obv "look at me" threads they are placated without a hint of decent....yet your average "Joe Bloggs" does the same, and gets crucified! Double standards indeed!

It all depends on the tone of the look at me thread. Some are clearly after help when others I do agree are saying looking at me and fab my pics!!

Depends on how pathetic they seem. We've all seen the desperate on here with huge penises saying "oh if only my cock was smaller I'd get meets" or women saying "no one wants to meet bbw's" or perfect size 10's saying "no ones interested because i give the best blow jobs in the known universe"...... it just gets boring.

Any thread that's posted is asking for attention, so is any response. Otherwise why bother. I've never really understood why people accuse others of posting "look at me" threads as if its a bad thing.

Think you will find my point was why is it "ok" for some, but not for others!

Quite. It's the "snog, shag, avoid" threads that I avoid.

Yes I was aware of that. My point which I hoped might add to the discussion is that I don't understand why anyone would be accused of it let alone a few.

I fail to see how anybody on a site like this wouldn't be an attention seeker

I'd say it's because the certain individuals 'Fab friends' are the ones doing the commenting. Also If they're in the forums a lot they might have a following of sorts, if that make sense.

What dont you understand? Not sure about the "accused" bit either! Anyone is free to post whatever thread, within Fab's rules, they wish...be it a "look at me" thread or not....I was just wondering why is was perceived as acceptable for some but not others! If you dont see any difference in "who" post threads to how they are received, then your not looking/reading the same forums as I am.

What I'm saying is it isn't acceptable for anyone to be accused (in a bad way) of posting a look at me thread since all threads are essentially designed to draw attention. I'm agreeing with you that it isn't right to say it about some people and not others.

I understood perfectly what you were saying.

shits creek

Depends on the thread and the tone it appears to be written in.

Also, if someone is notorious for posting negativity, it does get remembered especially if they've been rude etc, so it kinda comes back to bite them in the arse at times. The green arrow is a wonderful thing at times.

Also, the longer someone has used the forums the more we learn their personality and language, so you get a better feel for the thread.

I think a lot is to do with being well known and having "attention seeking" being seen as part of their charm. Some are cheeky or flirty and others slip into form and respond.

I agree its wrong to crucify others for doing the same but quite often the tone of the post is different, the established forumite tends to do it in a more subtle way than a straight out look at me.

The key word you have used is 'established'.

I don't think it's done in necessarily more subtle way but they'll get people joining in because of who they are. The tone of the post will generally be more positive than negative.

Exactly. I know there's always talk of the "clique" on here but its natural for people to be drawn to people they know and have connection with.

It also goes the other way for the "pack mentality" when dismissing someone else. Its natural for people to want to be seen as accepted or the same as their peers.

Question is, 'Is that certain Joe Bloggs in the clique?' If not, well, that's self explanatory isn't it. It's nice and cosy in the clique.

I was ridiculed for one of my first threads. I named a lady on here who I used as an example of who I think is quite beautiful (Sorry about that post MsV, ). Some people frown on it.

. You can't do right for doing wrong here.

When that starts I find one or two off the regular posters step in and speak for the op.

I do a lot of tongue in cheek posting but hate bullying on here
