So so many I could name but the one that both gripped me and moved me when I read it was Birdsong by Sebastian Faulkes

I've got a thing for the chapter Parenthesis in Julian Barnes' A History of the World in 10 and 1/2 Chapters.

Right now my favourite book is the workshop manual for my van. Only because it has a wiring diagram I desperately needed. I do prefer practical/educational books though but I suspect that you are asking about novels/classics.

It`s a long time since I read any of those but my favourite would be George Orwell - The road to Wigan pier. Very insightful and still as relevant now as the day it was written.

The Diana Gabaldon Outlander series is my favourite, so happy they have adapted them and putting them on Amazon Prime. After that is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Favourite books from childhood however are pretty much anything by Roald Dahl. The Giraffe, the Pelly and Me especially. I have the cover illustration as a tattoo

Absolutely love the TV series (although shamelessly not read the books yet) - gutted there's no episode tomorrow so have to wait a week!!

50 shades was utter garbage from a literary point of view, and doesn't exactly help the stigma of gold diggers.

Great book! Love the way it’s told through the first person perspective of the autistic kid. Very clever and such an enjoyable read.
