The one ways systems are no worse than any other place! It's improving though and thankfully a small city, I live in it and walk everywhere.

I grew up in Thurnby Lodge but moved to norfolk 18 years ago to be with Mrs filth and I used to really miss Leicester but I was there for a few weeks last year and after living in sleepy Norfolk for so long I couldn't bare the place even a trip to Tesco was like a live Jeremy Kyle show!

I'm not sure if the place has changed or if I have but if take a guess it's both..

You judged Leicester on a trip to Tescos?

I've lived here 30 years now and grew up in the rolling downs in Surrey. When I first came here it was run down, dirty and unsafe. Now it's exactly the same as any other city and improving all the time. The amount of money invested has been huge and it shows.

No I didn't judge the place based on a trip to Tesco my judgement was based on several things as in large groups of youths walking around like they own the streets and thinking they are in some kind of gangster movie and attacking people just for the fun of it along with several stabbings reported stabbings and that's just in the area where I grew up! Added to that the housing estates have CCTV set up everywhere to try and reduce the crime and I also saw a mobile police CCTV van with a great big extendable people sticking out of the top with a camera on it which is something I'd never seen before!

Also the drug problems on the estates is horrendous yet people just seem to accept it as a normal way of life which I guess it is in large built up areas but for me I'm not used to seeing it

Don't get me wrong outside of the estates there is some lovely places to visit but if I had to move back to Leicester it would have to be in one of the surrounding towns or villages as living in Norfolk for so long I think I've been ruralised

You have just described every single city in the country....and quite a few rural areas too.
