Discretion

I just don't think some people understand what being discreet is.

Prior to a meet I had a fairly extensive exchange of emails with someone and as part of this they ask for me to discreet over it, which was fine, but I also asked for this to be reciprocated which they agreed to. Then a couple of days after the meet I receive an email from a third party saying I see you've met .... which given there was no exchange of verifications I can only assume that that person I met has chosen to discuss the meet with one or more people regardless of our agreement. Personally I think this is pretty disgraceful behaviour.

Have you asked them about it?

It's unrealistic to presume others will behave in the same way we do ourselves .....

Happens all the time - depending on where you live, the circle of perverts can be extremely small.

I've recently moved to Norfolk from London, and quite literally everyone here has had sex with everyone else.....and talked about it!

People talk and have different ideas of what discretion is. Some think that if you don't name a person it's ok to discuss them publicly, some think discretion only applies at the time of a meet and not after and some understand it to mean that you never discuss things, ever.

I have sent them a private message regarding this but have yet to have a response.

"I have sent them a private message regarding this but have yet to have a response."

The thing is, what are you worried about? You're on a sex contact site, so is person A, and person B, so what's the problem? All of you are on the same site, all looking for sex with strangers.....so.....?

I'm not overly concerned, I'm in a position where they can't cause very much more than a bit of discomfort and a whole lot of ribbing from colleagues etc. Therefore it's more the principal of the matter that if you agree to something I feel you should abide by that agreement.

I agree, you should. Do you know the circumstances under which you were discussed?

I think meeting but agreeing not to verify and expecting total discretion on the part of both parties is a lot more discreet than most people will ever be. Being devil's advocate, maybe they felt aggrieved by these stipulations or that you were ashamed to have met them?

While I would expect swingers to be discreet around non swingers, the reality is that swingers talk and gossip amongst themselves just like any other group and it;s naive to expect otherwise. We are on a site that effectively encourages people to flaunt their meets with public verification, it prompts the mindset that talking about meets is okay

I would point out it was them that asked for these conditions.

I know, but Consider you've started a thread about them, I thought it wouldn't be beyond your descretion....
