Are you a prolific ironer?!

Do you iron things like underwear and socks?

Or are you like me and not iron anything unless absolutely necessary (which seems to be once in a blue moon )

Hi, I'm J and I'm a recovering ironaholic

I used to iron socks before pairing them and even t towels weren't safe from me. Nowadays I tend to only iron what gets seen when wearing them

Never iron, my iron is still in the cupboard under the stairs in a box.

I iron nothing, all of my work wear hangs dry and crease free. Any casual wear I buy, I make sure is no iron necessary.

Ironing is my least favourite job and I won't iron something unless it absolutely needs it.

My mum used to iron everything and still gets upset because my dad insists the sheets on his bed don't need to be done

no, not for years, unless its something very unusual, like a funeral...utterly pointless, busy work nonsense!

so they can do that weird thing that my ex sis in law used to do...stand there looking put-upon, saying 'im sorry the house is a mess'..when its spotless, and proudly show off a mountain of ironed baby clothes, tea towels etc...as if they were some sort of achievement...it's not 1952 anymore!

I am the ironer in my household and it’s a shit job. Not helped by the kids who live like the Edwardian gentry, changing for dinner, again for evening and something else for going out.

Thanks but no. Hang them up when you take them out of the washing machine and the creases tend to drop out.

My good lady iron the kids clothes her clothes and folds mine really nicely but never irons them when one day I plucked up the courage to ask why this was she simply asked would I iron hers and the children's clothes?

Enough said I'm a plumber I don't need my clothes ironing lol

I do wear the trousers in our house honestly

Nope don't even own an iron. Most fabrics now if you hang them as soon as out the machine will dry fine.

Knitwear is best dried on a hanger anyway

If I have something with creases in I run a hot hair dryer over it and the creases magically disappear.

Used to iron everything, socks and pants included and then would find a pile on the floor where they had been thrown instead of being hung up and put away. Now just iron as and when I need too. Xx
